If you’ve ever wished for a place that feels like home yet authentic while you explore a new city, Porto Prime Home is exactly what you need. Tucked away in the heart of Porto, this hotel stay offers the perfect balance between comfort, design, and hospitality — a place where every detail feels just right.
They’ve got studios, plus one and two-bedroom apartments, which are perfect for business trips, leisure or family time. I spent a weekend in one of their studios, and from the moment I walked in, it felt like slipping into a familiar, cosy space. But not just any space — one with premium touches, elegant decoration, and an atmosphere that welcomes you to slow down and enjoy every moment of your trip.

A Homely Atmosphere with Premium Touches
When you first walk into the hall, it feels like a hotel — but as soon as you step inside the apartment, there’s this immediate feeling of home. And not just any home! It’s a place that feels real and full of character. You notice the little things: books that tell the story of Porto, the beautiful Vista Alegre tableware — a true Portuguese classic — and the cosy, stylish decor that instantly makes the space feel warm and welcoming. It’s that perfect mix of thoughtful design and everyday comfort that makes you want to unpack, relax, and enjoy your stay a little longer.

A Brand Built on Timeless Hospitality
So, about hospitality? Seriously, 705 Porto Prime Home gets it. Beyond all the things I’m about to tell you, they even left me a really thoughtful, personalised welcome note. I was flattered!
But what makes this hotel truly special is the story behind it. The brand was inspired by the year 705, when the first hotel in the world, the Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan in Japan, was founded. This connection between past and future is at the heart of the hotel’s philosophy: a tribute to vision, persistence, focus, and above all, respect for hospitality. Staying here feels like participating in a living tradition, where every guest is treated not just as a visitor, but as part of the story.
Experiences That Create Memories
Beyond the room, this hotel offers a series of experiences that elevate your stay. The hotel features a premium gym, an ever-changing corridor exhibition that supports local art, and an outdoor bar with patio garden open to the public. I was lucky to experience a sunset concert on the garden which was truly a highlight — music, sunset views over Porto, and a feeling of belonging that made me part of the city, if only for a moment.
These are the kinds of experiences that linger long after you’ve left. The hotel truly embraces the idea that some of our best travelling memories come from an instant you’ve tasted and connected with something truly original.

A Breakfast Made for Slow Mornings with a Pinch of Sustainability
The morning at 705 Hotel starts perfectly with breakfast served directly to your room. One of the details that caught my attention was the sustainably sourced cereals — a simple yet meaningful gesture that reflects the hotel’s commitment to sustainable practices. Every choice, from local ingredients to eco-conscious options, shows a genuine respect for both guests and the environment.
Perfectly Placed to Explore Porto
The 705 hotel sits right in the middle of Porto, which is super handy for seeing all the famous spots. But the great thing is, it’s tucked away just enough so you’re not swamped by all the tourist crowds. You’re really close to Boavista and Casa da Musica, and the Oporto Coliseum is just a quick 2 km hop. There is a metro station 300 m from the property. And if you’re flying in, the airport is only 15 km away.
For me was also very convenient as I was driving and they not only have private parking but also was super easy to park nearby. Oh, and just so you know, couples especially dig the location – they gave it an 8.4 out of 10 for trips together!
Final Thoughts: A Stay That Feels Just Right
Porto Prime Home isn’t just another hotel or Airbnb in Porto — it’s a place that feels like home, designed for travellers who appreciate both comfort and character. Whether you’re in town for a weekend escape or a longer stay, this place wraps you in warmth, style, and a genuine sense of belonging. I felt like I could have enjoyed more if I stayed longer, as you can cook there and properly settle in. Like, unpack your bags and actually enjoy the feeling of living there for a bit.
My words at the end of my stay were: “I could stay another night”.
