You’ve probably heard of Monaco for the same reasons that I did: Luxury, Formula 1 and the legendary Monte Carlo Casino. Am I right? As a matter of fact, the glamorous city-state of the French Riviera, is a haven for luxury, breathtaking coastal views, and world-famous events. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, it offers a mix of culture, history, and indulgence.
I visited Monaco in September 2024 while visiting Nice Côte d’Azur, which is the closest airport and only a 30-minute drive. I noticed most people come just for a day either by taking a one-day tour, making a stop while doing a road trip, stopping by during a Mediterranean cruise or a scenic train ride along the French Riviera. However, I’d recommend staying 2 days to experience more. It takes a lot of walking as the city sits in a hill and time to experience the casino, events and shops.
